Free Parts of the Plant Worksheet 1
Directions: Use this worksheet as an assessment after teaching the parts of the plant and vocabulary. Pass out as a reproducible or create a file folder game for students to draw a line to match the word with the picture. Be sure to laminate the file folder game and use dry erase markers for continual use.
Free Parts of the Plant Worksheet 2
Directions: This worksheet is similar to worksheet 1 in that it is used as an assessment tool for parts of the plant and vocabulary. This time, students will practice writing the vocabulary words on the correct arrow pointing to the plant part. Again, pass this free worksheet out as a reproducible or create a file folder game, laminating, and providing a dry erase marker.
Free What a Plant Needs to Grow Worksheet
Directions: This worksheet has simple directions for early readers to begin reading independently. Have students circle what a plant needs to grow, and cross out those things a plant does not need. Again, this can also be used as a file folder game.
Free Cycle of a Plants Growth Ordinal Worksheet
Directions: Print out this worksheet and laminate. Either as independent center work or partner work, have students put the pictures in order of how a plant grows and number them first stage, second stage, third stage, and fourth stage. Be sure to concentrate on the ordinal number aspect of this activity to help further the student’s understanding of ordinal numbers. This can be individual assessment, or peer assessment if paired up with other students. This could also be played as a game with dice to insert math concepts into the lesson.
